The Euganean Hills High Trail, n° 1

Nature trail n° 1 covers a distance of approximately 42 km and takes in the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, connecting some of the most delightful spots in these parts. The looped route takes in the peaks of Mount Venda, Mount Rua and Mount Pirio, and wooded stretches with breaks affording spectacular views of the Veneto plain. Sights along the way include ancient hermitages, the remains of monasteries and picturesque rural areas dotted with vineyards and olive groves. The route is ideal for serious hikers and can be split up into stages, with the option of making stops at holiday farms and scenic spots such as the Villa Beatrice d’Este or the ancient village of Arquà Petrarca. Mount Fasolo trail n° 12

Trail n° 12 of the Euganean Hills Regional Park follows a looped route of approximately 3.5 km. Starting from the Capitello di Sant’Antonio roadside shrine, it leads through hornbeam, ash and chestnut woods, offering magnificent views of the plain and the surrounding hills. One of the prettiest stretches is the almond tree walk, at the end of which you can buy Colli Euganei DOC wines at the Le Volpi Winery, or simply relax and taste them at the Monte Fasolo Wine Bar while enjoying the view. Atestino trail n° 03

Of the various trails through the Euganean Hills, this 19.2 km route stands out for its scenic beauty and historical interest. Starting at the Bar Ventolone in Arquà Petrarca, it takes in olive groves, woods, vineyards and ancient roads, places of interest like the Convent of Santa Maria di Orbise, also theMonte Fasolo Wine Bar and our Le Volpi Wine Relais, the Villa Beatrice d’Este, and finally the Fonte del Pissarotto.Back in Arquà Petrarca, it ends at the house of the celebrated poet Petrarch, rounding off a total immersion in nature, culture and rural landscapes.
